Uninvited Apparition of the Year 1997

You know, in these last few months when I haven't written anything on the Blog (Late June 2025 - Mid-September 2025), I've been focusing on personal stuff, RoSe and having a good time with the people I love, leaving aside several things related to Triple M and Co. despite carrying out Prueas and updating plans for multiple future projects.
I finally made some time to get back to making things like the old days, and you've been able to appreciate both the new short films and the short blog posts I've published. However, there's something I never noticed until Manolete pointed out to me a couple of weeks ago: if you check out the profile picture on the YouTube channel, you'll notice there's a… rather peculiar subject behind the logo.
We have no idea why Clippy appeared out of nowhere. Is it an anomaly? A crossover no one told us about? Did Windows buy us and Doritos will finally stop talking about Linux? So many questions in such a spontaneous situation, I finally know how those with a shred of sanity feel when they see our videos.
I decided to investigate and try to come to a conclusion, but it didn't take me long to find the answer; it was pretty quick and to the point. The reason Clippy appears is due to a protest method started by a YouTuber named "Louis Rossmann," which focuses on electronic repairs and the right to repair issues.
This interesting individual uploaded a video to YouTube on August 2025 encouraging internet users to change their profile pictures to an image of Clippy as a silent protest against the unethical conduct of technology companies, such as the mining of personal data to train artificial intelligence or the sale of data brokers, planned obsolescence, censorship and the use of ransomware.
After my research, I finally understood what's going on. As you know, current technologies like social media tend to be incredibly intrusive when it comes to requesting your personal data, using AI that ultimately reaps harmful benefits.
Furthermore, with the changes that are occurring regarding AI to determine a person's age NOT to avoid atrocious situations, but to let large companies and the government have greater control over their users, damaging freedom and privacy, it is completely understandable that everyone is already tired and angry that you can no longer have a space without fear that the same pages cause vulnerabilities in people who have every right to be able to use the internet without harming their own image and information.
Clippy is the opposite of all this, Clippy just wants to help. Clippy was created as your personal assistant, always there to help you when you needed it without asking for personal information or intruding in your private life. Therefore, Clippy became the symbol of the internet against corruption and corporations (Funny enough, the icon of a company became the anti-corporate image; this is too Cyberpunk).
With all this out of the way, why is he here? He probably wants to help, or he's just comfortable in the logo. Either way, it's nice to see this character after years of disappearance, and it's best to leave him there peacefully, helping all the entities of madness he wants.
Sincerely, Sulonam
